The Lost Continent

Zealandia is the lost continent that encompasses New Zealand and New Caledonia. It includes 5 million square kilometres of land that is mostly submerged but, during the ice age, was above sea level. Some consider that it could be the missing link to the mystery of Atlantis.

This song imagines an ancient civilisation inhabiting the continent before it was submerged and lost to the rest of the world. It is written from the point of view of one of the inhabitants, who looks across the sea and wonders what is out there.
