It has always irked me that most supermarket foods are over-processed and laden with chemicals and additives. Not only that, but there’s a huge amount of waste in plastic packaging that is not recyclable. So we are polluting our bodies as well as the environment. With a world population that has more than tripled in the last 100 years, we just can’t keep on doing this. This song is my 2 cents on our plastic diets.

Winding maze of plastic packets, spreads its presence round the market’s din
Preservatised and sanitary, you be sure to buy our products, ma’am
This processed food will keep for ever, it’s technicolor boring plastic spam

Gaily coloured printed labels, hide the lack of food they advertise
Crops are sprayed with chemicals, we feed on poisoned cabbages and lies

It’s time to do some thinking, science tells us all, we do not reason why
Ask yourself some questions, it’s time to change our habits now or die.
