Day to Day

by Torn Chorus

/

about

Our lives just seem to be so busy and rushed these days that we sometimes forget how to relax and enjoy the moment. We need to get back to the way we were as children when we could just exist and go with the flow. This song expresses that philosophy and brings back a little psychedelia from a more innocent time.

lyrics

1. Many’s the time I’ve wandered alone
Thru streets filled with cars like a river of steel
I’ve watched the night fall slowly stealing the day
I’ve seen the streets darken and then melt away

Chorus: People I’ve met seem so unreal, you meet them and greet them and then go your way
What do I owe them, what do I tell them? They rush so fast from day to day

2. Children are playing, simple and free
They float on the breeze and they swim in the air
Painters and poets are busting their heads
Trying to explain why they try to explain

3. Music is flowing from land to land yet people are eating their hearts out in pain
So I stop and wonder as I sit alone, it’s a pity more people don’t break that chain.

Chorus: People I’ve met seem so unreal, you meet them and greet them and then go your way
What do I owe them, what do I tell them? They rush so fast from day to day
